Position Title: Principal Product Designer
A bit about this role:
We’re looking for someone to lead and grow our team in mentorship, the architecture of workflow, design, thought leadership about our products and general direction and design - all with an awesome result and experience for our clients. We’re growing and this is a large opportunity to lead in design at Brightside. As a Principal Designer, you will create best-in-class client service experiences through anticipating and fulfilling user needs. You will collaborate cross-functionally on projects that drive optimal outcome on both internal and external work flows, including all aspects of the support process from self-help, case entry, case updates to resolution. The meaningful work you will tackle:
Have direct impact on design at Brightside, solving hard interaction problems and supercharging our workflows
Design products—systematically, interactively, visually—in the pixels
Partner with engineering, product management, and research to design impactful metrics-driven solutions
Develop solutions, strategies and product requirements; you'll work with and managing feedback from multiple stakeholders
Partner with engineering in implementation and QA
Make selfless design decisions for the betterment of Brightside
Have a huge impact on growing the design system and the Brightside brand
Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency
Design, prototype, and develop elegant solutions for our mobile and web apps
Evangelize best UI practices to other designers, engineers, and product managers
What we’re looking for in your background & what makes you a success:
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Proven interaction design experience, and excel at navigating all aspects of the design process
A team player who is comfortable with autonomy, ambiguity & capable of providing product direction and who is obsessed with workflows
7+ years of overall product design experience 2+ years of workflow design
Individual who loves showing their work often and believes it is how you improve
Strong product thinking and understanding of tactical design
Experience designing key workflows and interactions as well as thinking through edge cases and error handling
Experience for taking designs from execution to implementation
Ability to design and iterate based off of qualitative and quantitative insights
Fast pace prototyping skills with low-fidelity wireframe workflows to high-fidelity designs using Figma and Principle
Ability to articulate design decisions and problems they're solving
Experience working with design systems
Passion for identifying and solving user problems

Doctor prefers female scribe as we go in with female patients frequently
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred, but not required
Pay will not be negotiated, but will range $15-$20+/hour depending on experience
Work is sedentary in nature, just some walking around the office.
